Privacy Policy for PDFly

This Privacy Policy describes how PDFly ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. PDFly is a PDF scanning application developed for Android devices (package name: com.pdfly.scanner).

We built PDFly with privacy in mind. The App works entirely on your device, and we do not operate any servers that store or process your personal files.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

PDFly does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following to us or any external server:

• Documents, photos, or scans you create with the App
• Personal files stored on your device
• Account information (the App does not require sign-up or login)
• Location data

2. Permissions the App Uses

PDFly requests certain device permissions solely to provide its core functionality, all processed locally on your device:

• Camera: used to scan documents and capture images that are converted into PDF files. Images are processed and saved locally on your device only.
• Storage / Files and Media: used to save your scanned PDF files to your device and to let you select existing images to convert.

None of the content accessed through these permissions is uploaded, shared, or transmitted off your device by PDFly.

3. Advertising

PDFly displays ads through Google AdMob to support free use of the App. AdMob may collect certain data automatically to serve and measure ads, which can include:

• Advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID)
• Device information (device model, operating system version)
• General, non-precise location data (such as country or region, inferred from IP address)
• App interaction data related to ads (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly, according to Google's own privacy policy. You can review how Google handles this data here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization on most Android devices).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except for the limited advertising data described above, which is handled directly by Google AdMob under its own policies.

5. Data Security

Since PDFly processes and stores your scanned files locally on your device, the security of that data depends on your device's own security settings (such as screen lock and storage permissions). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

6. Children's Privacy

PDFly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
